Father-Son Rivalry
During a recent practice, Bronny went head-to-head with LeBron, forcing the basketball legend to step up his game. Anthony Davis shared a funny story with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin about how Bronny nailed a three-pointer over LeBron, leading to some playful teasing from the team. In response, LeBron powered through for a layup against another player.

Later in practice, Bronny hit another three-pointer while on the same team as his dad. Even though they weren’t directly competing at that moment, the competitive spirit was evident. Davis expressed how exciting it was to see this dynamic unfold during practice.

Despite ongoing debates about nepotism outside the team, within the Lakers’ camp, there’s nothing but excitement and pride in witnessing these moments. Davis described it as “fantastic” to watch them compete together.

LeBron has confidently stated that Bronny is “ready to go” for the NBA. However, new coach JJ Redick mentioned that while they’ve discussed plans involving both father and son playing together, nothing is set in stone yet.

Though Bronny showed promise at USC with 25 games under his belt last season, he didn’t have standout stats: averaging 4.8 points per game along with rebounds and assists.
