The Milwaukee Bucks are gearing up for the new NBA season with a lot to prove after back-to-back first-round playoff exits.
Challenges from Last Season:
Last season, the Bucks faced significant struggles despite adding Damian Lillard. Many expected him to elevate the team, but that didnโt happen. This left Milwaukee with more questions than answers as they approached the new season.
During an episode of ESPN’s “NBA Today,” Zach Lowe highlighted these issues by calling the Bucks “the biggest question in the NBA.”
“Continuity won’t be enough,” Lowe said. “And to me, this is the biggest question in the NBA going into the new season. Can the Bucks rediscover their form and become contenders again? Damian Lillard is 34 and rarely looked comfortable last season. Khris Middleton is 33, coming off an injury-plagued season and double ankle surgery…This team is getting older and less athletic around Giannis, and they don’t have many young guys coming up.”
Expert Opinions:
.@ZachLowe_NBA says Giannis, Dame, and the Bucks are the single biggest question in the NBA going into this season ๐ณ
"They never found their footing and they've got to find it fast in an Eastern Conference that has gotten better top to bottom in the playoff race."

Zach Lowe also stated on Twitter: โGiannis, Dame, and the Bucks are the single biggest question in the NBA going into this season. They never found their footing and they’ve got to find it fast in an Eastern Conference that has gotten better top to bottom in the playoff race.โ
New Additions:
The Bucks added Gary Trent Jr. and Taurean Prince over summerโsolid pickups but not game-changers. Meanwhile, teams like Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks made significant moves by adding Paul George and Mikal Bridges respectively. The Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers also look tougher as their young players mature.
Fans believe this might be a turning point for Milwaukee.
On paper, Giannis Antetokounmpo paired with Damian Lillard makes one of NBAโs best duos. However, their supporting cast seems shaky. Without fresh talent or athleticism infusion, Milwaukee might need a rebuild before Giannis can chase another championship .
Season Outlook:
This upcoming season could make or break for Milwaukeeโs current roster setup. Another early playoff exit could lead to major changes next summer.
We all hope they find their rhythm soon!
