Caitlin Clark Rebounds as Fever Defeat Dream

The Fever almost had a scare on Monday.

Rookie star Caitlin Clark twisted her ankle in the first quarter but still led Indiana to an 84-79 victory over the Atlanta Dream.

Clark’s Quick Recovery:

Caitlin Clark left the game after hurting her ankle but came back strong in the second quarter.

Clark scored 19 points, made seven assists, grabbed seven rebounds, and even had two steals and a block. She injured herself with three minutes left in the first quarter but returned at the start of the second, making an immediate impact. Kelly Price from Fox 5 Atlanta shared a video of Clark scoring a driving floater early in the second quarter.

Fans Breathe Easy:

Everyone was relieved when she came back into the game.

Clark showed why she’s so special by hitting a deep three-pointer late in the first half, pushing Indiana’s lead to 15 points.

Another Big Shot:

She nailed another long three at the start of the third quarter, helping Indiana maintain their lead despite being outscored in the fourth quarter. The Fever now have a record of 14-16.

A Season Turnaround:

Indiana started terribly this season but has improved significantly since June 1st. They won only one of their first nine games but have gone 13-8 since then. Beating Atlanta was crucial for their playoff hopes; they are now closer to overtaking Phoenix than falling behind Atlanta and missing out on postseason play.

We think fans are excited about this turnaround!

Clarkโ€™s resilience after her injury shows that it will take more than just an ankle twist to slow down Indianaโ€™s momentum.
