Dwight Howard Recruits Ex-Lakers Teammates to Taiwan Team

Dwight Howard’s recruiting efforts are finally paying off.

Shams Charania announced that Dwight has successfully convinced DeMarcus Cousins and Quinn Cook to join him in Taiwan. They will play together on the Taiwan Mustangs during the Asian Tournament in July.

Howard, Cousins, and Cook were all part of the Lakers’ 2020 NBA championship team. Although Cousins didn’t play due to a torn ACL, they will now reunite on the Mustangs, a team Howard partly owns.

Cousins, 33, played for the Taiwan Beer Leopards in the T1 League last season and led them to a championship as Finals MVP . Cook, 31, has been playing overseas since his last NBA stint in 2020-21.

Howard moved to Taiwan in 2022 and initially played for the Leopards before joining the Mustangs. He made headlines with his funny attempts to recruit big NBA names to Taiwan. Now it seems he’s achieved some success.

Impact on Fans:
