Eastern Conference Assistant GM: Bronny James in NBA Draft Mix

The Toronto Raptors are exploring many options for the upcoming NBA Draft.

Dan Tolzman, the assistant general manager, mentioned that they might pick the best player available but will also think about the team’s future. Last week, Rich Paul said Toronto liked Bronny James a lot.

When asked about Bronny, Tolzman didn’t give a clear answer but said they are considering everyone.

"I think all these players are guys we’re looking at. He’s in the mix… Every player on the board we’re looking long and hard at and I wouldn’t say we’ve ruled anybody out" – Josh Lewenberg (@JLew1050)

Bronny’s Journey:

Tolzman is being secretive about their interest in Bronny, but he hasn’t ruled him out. In late May, Paul confirmed that Bronny would stay in the 2024 draft and not return to college.

Back in April, Bronny declared for the draft while keeping his college eligibility as a backup plan. He was ranked 20th by ESPN and was seen as a top point guard in his class before suffering cardiac arrest during practice in July.

Fans might wonder if this means LeBron could join too.

Bronny made a comeback late last year and got cleared to play again by November. During his freshman year at USC, he averaged 4.8 points per game with some struggles on shooting percentages.

Despite these challenges, teams might still be interested because picking Bronny could also mean getting LeBron James on their team too! According to ESPN’s latest mock draft from Monday, they predict that LeBron’s Lakers will pick Bronny with their 55th overall selection.

What do you think about this possibility?
