Standout Performance
Clark’s record-breaking night was impressive. She scored 23 points with three three-pointers, eight assists, and five rebounds. Despite her efforts, her team lost to the Minnesota Lynx, 90-80.
Historical Achievements
This was Clark’s eighth game this year with at least 20 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. No other player in WNBA history has done this more times in a single season. Alyssa Thomas is second with five such games.
Clark had her 13th game of the season scoring at least 20 points. Only two other rookies have multiple games like this: Angel Reese (3) and Rickea Jackson (2).
Fans are amazed by how often she sets new records!
Her previous record was set on August 18 when she achieved the most assists by a rookie at 240 and counting.
Future Milestones
If Clark continues playing well for the last 11 games of the regular season, she might break even more records. She’s only 76 assists away from setting a new league record of over 316 assists in one season. With her current average of nearly 18 points per game and total of over 500 points so far, she could become one of just twenty players to score more than 700 points in a single season.
Clark is likely to win Rookie of the Year but is also being considered for MVP! According to BetMGM odds, she’s second behind A’Ja Wilson from Las Vegas Aces
