Four-Time NBA All-Star Retires After 16 Seasons

Paul Millsap has decided to hang up his basketball shoes after 16 years in the NBA.

Reflecting on a Solid Career:

Millsap wasn’t a superstar, but he was a tough power forward who made it difficult for opponents. At 39, he announced his retirement, leaving behind impressive stats: an average of 13.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over more than 1,085 games. However, during his peak with the Atlanta Hawks, he really shined as an All-Star four times in a row. From the 2013-14 season to the 2016-17 season, Millsap averaged 17.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game and helped lead the Hawks to the Eastern Conference finals in 2015.

From College to Professional Success:

Starting at Louisiana Tech for college basketball, Millsap entered the NBA when picked by the Utah Jazz in the second round of the 2006 Draft. Over seven seasons with them, he built his reputation as one of the league’s dependable big men. Later on, he also played for teams like Denver Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets before wrapping up his career with some time at Philadelphia.

Fans always admired Millsap’s dedication and consistency on the court.

Though we might have expected him to play longer given his talent!
