Insiders Expect Warriors to Sign Seth Curry Ahead of 2025-26 Season

With the 2025-26 season just around the corner, NBA teams are gearing up for training camp. The Warriors currently have six empty roster spots they need to fill.

League insiders dropped some interesting news on Monday. According to Marc Stein, the Warriors are likely to sign Seth Curry – Steph Curry’s younger brother.

The Curry brothers have never played together on the same NBA team before. That could all change this season.

Seth, now 35, spent last season with the Charlotte Hornets, where he played in 64 games and started 18 of them. It was his second stint with the Hornets after being traded there in 2023-24.

He’s been something of a basketball nomad throughout his career. Over 11 years, he’s played for nine different teams. His longest stay was with the Mavericks, where he played 170 games across three non-consecutive seasons.

Seth is currently a free agent. He was on a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Hornets last season.

According to Stein, there’s a “strong expectation leaguewide” that the Warriors will sign Seth this offseason.

Brothers teaming up isn’t new in the NBA. Over 70 sets of siblings have played on the same team throughout league history. The most recent example is Mo and Franz Wagner, who’ve played more than 200 games together for the Orlando Magic.

Seth would bring valuable veteran depth to coach Steve Kerr’s roster.

Like his brother, Seth has an incredible shooting touch. He actually led the entire NBA in three-point shooting last season with an impressive 45.6% from beyond the arc. For his career, he shoots 43.3% from deep.

The Warriors are reportedly looking to fill their remaining roster spots with Seth Curry, Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, Will Richard, and Jonathan Kuminga.

If the signing happens, Warriors fans will finally get to see the Curry brothers sharing the court in the same uniform – something many have wanted to see for years.
