Ja Morant is back, and he’s not messing around. After a rough patch last season, the Grizzlies’ star point guard is reminding everyone why he’s a force to be reckoned with on the court.
Morant’s Comeback Tour
Last season was a bummer for Ja Morant. Off-court drama sidelined him for the first 25 games, and just when things seemed to be looking up, a shoulder injury put him out for good. He only managed to suit up for nine games all year. Fast forward to this season, and it’s a whole different story. Morant’s hit the ground running, playing five of the first six games and showing no signs of slowing down. Thursday night was a prime example when Memphis took on the Bucks. Ja went off, dropping 26 points, snagging 10 boards, and dishing out 14 assists. Oh, and he did it in just 21 minutes and 28 secondsโone of the quickest triple-doubles in NBA history.
Highlight Reel Heroics
Twitter was buzzing after Morant’s performance against Milwaukee. Check out this tweet from the NBA:
JA MORANT WAS A WALKING HIGHLIGHT TONIGHT
26 PTS
14 AST (several were ridiculous)
10 REBHis 12th-career triple-double in the @memgrizz W

I mean, come on, the guy’s a human highlight reel. In my opinion, if Morant keeps this up, the sky’s the limit for him and the Grizzlies. Speaking of highlights, did you catch that insane alley-oop he threw down last week? Pure magic.
Grizzlies’ Road to Redemption
Without Morant, the Grizzlies stumbled to a 27-55 record last season. Ouch. But with him back in action, things are looking up. The team’s sitting at 3-3 after a solid win over the Bucks, and Morant’s leading the charge with 20.4 points and 9.4 assists per game. He’s been a consistent force, scoring 22+ points in three out of five games so far. If Memphis wants to make noise in the West, they’ll need Ja firing on all cylinders. Remember his 27.4 points per game average from the 2021-22 season? Yeah, they could use some of that magic again.
Next up, the Grizzlies hit the road to take on the 76ers. Can Morant keep the momentum going and help his team climb the standings? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: Ja’s got the skills to make it happen.
So, what do you think? Can Morant lead the Grizzlies back to glory, or will they stumble once more?
