Jalen Brunson and Alperen Sengun have been named the NBA’s Players of the Week for their respective conferences.
Brunson’s Stellar Performance:
This is Brunson’s first time winning this award in the current season, though he snagged it four times last year. From November 25 to December 1, he helped the Knicks secure three wins out of four games. During this period, he averaged impressive stats: 26.8 points, 9.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game while maintaining a shooting accuracy of .547/.524/.867 against Denver, Dallas, Charlotte, and New Orleans.
Several other players were also considered for this honor in the Eastern Conference. These included Karl-Anthony Towns from the Knicks, Jalen Johnson from the Hawks, Dennis Schrรถder from the Nets, Franz Wagner from Magic, as well as Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Payton Pritchard.

Sengun Shines in Houston:
For Sengun, this marks his second career Player of the Week award; his first was back in January 2024. Over a flawless week where Houston went undefeated in three games against Minnesota, Philadelphia, and Oklahoma CityโSengun was a powerhouse on court with near triple-double averages: 21.3 points per game (PPG), 12.7 rebounds per game (RPG), and nine assists per game (APG). He also contributed defensively with an average of 1.7 steals and blocks each.
His efforts surpassed those of other Western Conference nominees like Devin Booker, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Isaiah Hartenstein among others including Quentin Grimes; Kyrie Irving; James Harden; Jaren Jackson Jr.; Ja Morant along with Fred VanVleet who is also Sengunโs teammate.
