Some NBA teams dream of getting a top pick in the draft.
The Miami Heat, however, shine when they pick players in the teens.

In June’s draft, the Heat chose Indiana center Kel’el Ware at No. 15. He impressed everyone in his Summer League debut by scoring 17 points on just nine shots and making three assists in Miami’s 119-114 victory over the Boston Celtics.
Heat’s Mid-Round Magic:
The Heat have a knack for finding gems in the middle of the first round. They like players from strong college programs who have high basketball IQs. This strategy worked with Jaime Jacquez Jr., picked at No. 18 from UCLA, Bam Adebayo at No. 14 from Kentucky, and Tyler Herro at No. 13 from Kentucky.
Speaking of Jacquez, he had an amazing game with 29 points and 11 rebounds.

Fans might think this shows how good Miami is at picking players who can perform well quickly.
Last season, as an eighth seed team, they lost Caleb Martin but added Alec Burks and Ware to their roster.
Burks could be a great fit for Miami since he was picked at No.12 back in the 2011 NBA Draft.
What do you think about these new additions to the Heat?
