Kevin Durant Considers Retirement More

Team USA star Kevin Durant shined brightly at the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, he knows his basketball career won’t last forever.

With 17 NBA seasons behind him, Durant has started thinking about retiring. He shared these thoughts on “Raising Fame” with Sonya Curry and Lucille Oโ€™Neal.

โ€œAs I get older in the league and the league is getting younger, I tend to think about retirement more,โ€ Durant said. โ€œIโ€™m like, โ€˜Should I stop thinking about it? What is that?โ€™ But it creeps in my mind for sure.โ€

Durant’s Future Plans:

Despite having many interests outside of basketball, Durant hasnโ€™t decided what he’ll do after retiring. He only knows he wants to stay connected to the game somehow.

Fans might wonder if KD will coach or become an analyst after hanging up his sneakers.

Even though he’s older now, Durant’s performance hasn’t dipped much. Last season at age 36, he averaged 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game while shooting over 52% from the field and more than 41% from three-point range.

Durantโ€™s unique mix of shooting skill and height could keep him playing for several more years. But right after the Paris Olympics ended, he began exploring new ventures off the court: https://larrybrownsports.com/basketball/kevin-durant-european-soccer-team-psg-investment/637500
