Kevin Durant is always making waves, whether it’s on the court or stirring things up on social media. This weekend? Oh boy, he went viral for some spicy comments about the Dallas Cowboys. KD didn’t hold back, saying he’d boot the Cowboys out of the NFL if relegation were a thing.
Why KD Can’t Stand the Cowboys
So, what’s the deal with KD’s beef against the Cowboys? Well, our man Durant is a die-hard Commanders fan, and he’s got no love for their arch-rivals. “I just donโt like โem. I just donโt,” he admitted. “And I had to ask myself why I donโt like the Cowboys. Because I donโt hate any teams or any players. Iโm a huge fan of a lot of teams. But the Cowboys are the one team I just donโt like.”

KD’s disdain isn’t just about the team; it’s about loyalty. “I think itโs because a lot of people, where Iโm from in D.C., have become Cowboysโ fans. Itโs probably like 75% of people in Washington D.C., in my group of people that are Cowboys fans. I just hate that they donโt stay loyal to the crib.”
Hypocritical Much?
Now, you might call KD a bit of a hypocrite here. The guy’s known for jumping ship more than anyone! Remember when he left OKC for the Warriors? Then he donned Nets and Suns jerseys. Loyalty? Not exactly his strong suit. But hey, we all have our quirks, right?
Speaking of trades, did you catch that wild Curry rumor? Anyway, during the same chat with Kay Adams on her Up & Adams Show, KD was asked who he thinks will be the NFL’s top player this season. Despite trashing the Cowboys, guess who he picked for MVP? Dak Prescott. Yup, you heard that right.
“Itโs easy to say Lamar and Patty (Mahomes). Jalen Hurts. But Iโm gonna go with, I canโt say that cause I hate the Cowboys. I was going to say Dak Prescott,” KD confessed. Adams was floored: “You were gonna do what? You were going to give Dak the MVP?” KD doubled down, “Cause the Cowboys play well in the regular season. For the last four years, I think. Three or four seasons.”

KD’s not just thinking about basketball these days. Fresh off an Olympic gold in Paris, he’s already planning for life after hoops. And get thisโhe’s now a part-owner of Paris Saint-Germain!
