Knicks Sign Second-Round Pick to Two-Way Deal

The Knicks have signed Kevin McCullar to a two-way contract.

The 23-year-old forward from Kansas was picked 56th in this year’s draft but missed the summer league due to a knee problem. Last season, McCullar shined with first-team All-Big 12 honors, averaging 18.3 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. He also made the Big 12 All-Defensive team and earned third-team all-conference honors after transferring from Texas Tech in 2022.

New York now has one more two-way slot open following McCullar’s signing . Ariel Hukporti already holds one of these contracts with the Knicks.

Other Unsigned Draft Picks:

Several other players from the 2024 draft are still waiting for their contracts. Utah’s Kyle Filipowski, Atlanta’s Nikola Djurisic, Indiana’s Enrique Freeman, and Golden State’s Quinten Post haven’t signed yet either.

Fans might wonder why some talented players remain unsigned so late in the process.
