The last time LeBron James didn’t score at least ten points in an NBA game, George W. Bush was still president, and Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry hadn’t joined the league yet.
LeBron’s Streak Under Threat
LeBron’s incredible streak of scoring in double digits started on January 6, 2007, against the Nets. On a recent Monday night, this record was almost broken when the Lakers played against the Suns. LeBron had only four points late in the third quarter and managed to add just three more before being benched early in the fourth.
When he returned with five minutes left in the game, he had scored only seven points and missed another three-pointer shortly after. Finally, with less than two minutes remaining, he made a crucial three-point shot to hit ten points and then added a free throw to end with eleven points. This kept his streak alive but marked one of his worst shooting performances since January 5, 2007.

Lakers’ Performance Despite Loss
Even though the Lakers lost 109-105 to the Suns, there’s still hope for fans. The team showed great chemistry by staying competitive despite LeBron’s tough night. Anthony Davis shined with 29 points and 15 rebounds while Rui Hachimura added 20 points and Austin Reaves contributed with 23 points.
D’Angelo Russell also played well with eight assists alongside his fourteen points. Although their bench only scored eight points, Gabe Vincent and Max Christie brought energy on defense.
We think it’s amazing how well they worked together even when LeBron struggled!
The Lakers are currently on an eleven-day road trip facing teams like Cleveland and Toronto next. Their upcoming match against Cleveland will be special as itโs a homecoming for both LeBron and his son Bronny!
