One of the oldest jokes in the NBA is that LeBron James isn’t human.
How else could someone be so good at 39 and avoid major injuries for 21 seasons? Maybe he’s an alien, right? Nope. We now know LeBron is just like us, feeling emotions and getting distracted sometimes.
LeBron’s Emotional Moment:
In a recent chat on “GoJo and Golic,” LeBron shared how he “lost focus” during a practice session with his son, Bronny. It was their first time training together as Lakers teammates.
“This week when we got back into the gym, it was the first time Bronny and I were on the floor as professionals, training, going against each other and preparing for the season,” James said. “I had a couple of moments where I lost focus. And I’m not used to losing focus when I’m out on the floor. There were a couple of times when I looked to the side watching him prepare and go after it, there was just a [unfamiliar feeling]. It’s going to be an unbelievable year for myself and hopefully for him as well.”
What Should Bronny Call Him?
LeBron also talked about what Bronny should call him during games since calling him “dad” is not allowed. He joked that he’s waiting to hear what name Bronny will choose.
“He hasn’t given me a name yet! I’ve actually had my ears open, waiting for that moment. I do know it’s going to come at some point,” James revealed.
Some options include “2-3,” “Bron,” or even “GOAT.” We can’t wait to see what Bronny picks!
Fans love seeing this father-son duo share such special moments on the court.
Upcoming Season:
LeBron, Bronny, and the Lakers will start their training camp on Oct. 1 before playing against the Timberwolves in a preseason game on Oct. 4. Their regular season kicks off against the same team on Oct. 22.
It’s exciting to think about what’s ahead for them this season!
