Malika Andrews Weds ESPN Reporter Dave McMenamin

ESPN’s Malika Andrews and Dave McMenamin got married on August 24, Kobe Bryant Day.

Wedding at the Golden Gate

The couple exchanged vows at Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito, right by the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Photos from Vogue captured the beautiful moment.

โ€œWe are so lucky,โ€ Malika said to Vogue. โ€œNow we can say, โ€˜Look! Thatโ€™s where we got married.โ€™โ€

A Bay Area Dream

Living in Los Angeles made it easy for them to choose the Bay Area for their wedding. โ€œWe always knew we wanted to get married here,โ€ Dave shared. Their first visit to Cavallo Point felt just perfect.

Malika wore a lace dress inspired by Grace Kelly from Lotus Bridal, paired with custom shoes by Jennifer Chamandi and diamond earrings by Jessica McCormack.

Dave donned a navy tuxedo while his 12 groomsmen wore black tuxedos. He also sported Nike Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita Sweet 16 sneakers at the reception as a tribute to Mamba Day.

D Sharp, DJ for the Warriors, provided music for their celebration.

Symbolic Decor

A floriated basketball hoop welcomed guests at their receptionโ€”a nod to how they met in 2017 during a Knicks vs. Cavaliers game at Madison Square Garden.

Fans think itโ€™s amazing how they incorporated basketball into their special day!

They were engaged for 21 months and planned everything meticulously during two NBA offseasons. Despite all this planning time, neither of them felt stressed as the big day approached.

Celebration with Friends

Richard Jefferson was seen dancing to โ€œSweet Carolineโ€ during the reception. Nick Friedell also attended and danced with Malika and her sister Kendra Andrews.

Malika joined ESPN in October 2018 and made history as the youngest sideline reporter during the 2020 Orlando Bubble. In 2022, she became the first woman to host an NBA draft.

Dave has been with ESPN since 2009 mainly covering the Lakers. He’s also an avid sneaker collector and co-authored Return of The King about LeBron James’ historic comeback with Brian Windhorst.
