The Nuggets’ victory was crucial after their previous loss to the Wizards, who had been on a massive losing streak before beating Denver. Jokic’s performance was even more vital because Jamal Murray wasn’t playing that night due to his ongoing struggles this seasonโhis worst since averaging 16.7 back in 2017-18.
