Pacers Swingman Cleared to Return

Andrew Nembhard is set to make his return for the Pacers against the Grizzlies on Sunday after being sidelined with knee tendinitis since November 6.

Player Performance and Stats:

Nembhard, a key player for Indiana, has only played in seven games this season. During these appearances, he managed an average of 7.3 points per game with shooting percentages of .385 from the field, .231 from three-point range, and .800 from the free-throw line. Additionally, he contributed 4.7 assists, 2 rebounds, and nearly one steal each game.

Injury Challenges for the Pacers:

Both Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith have missed significant time due to injuries this season. While Nembhard is ready to play again, Nesmith continues to recover from a hamstring issue. In their absence, Bennedict Mathurin has been filling in for Nembhard and Quenton Jackson has taken over for Nesmith.

Coach’s Strategy Moving Forward:

According to Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star, head coach Rick Carlisle plans to start Nembhard but will limit his minutes initially as he eases back into play. Unfortunately for fans hoping for a full-strength lineup soon, Carlisle mentioned that Nesmith and Ben Sheppard are still weeks away from returning.

We hope these players heal quickly so they can join their teammates on the court again!
