Paul George joined the Philadelphia 76ers this summer.
Teaming up with Joel Embiid, the nine-time All-Star is now part of a dynamic duo. When two stars come together, people often wonder who will take the lead in critical moments. On a recent episode of “Podcast P with Paul George,” he reminded everyone that he’s played with many top-tier players before. He also mentioned that Nick Nurse would decide who takes the final shot when it matters most.
“Whoever Nick Nurse draws it up for, we’re gonna get the best shot,” said George. “I’ve dealt with that. I’ve been on teams with other superstars. We live and die with whoever takes it (the final shot).”

George’s Experience:
For four years, George shared the court with Kawhi Leonard, one of the NBA’s best two-way players. Last season, he also played alongside Russell Westbrook and James Harden. His time with Oklahoma City Thunder saw him team up with multiple star-level players as well.
Fans might think there’s no need to worry about a power struggle between George and Embiid because of his experience in different roles depending on team needs.
Philadelphia must ensure both Embiid and George stay healthy first though. Neither has been injury-free recently, so managing their playtime will be crucial for success this season.
If they can remain fit through the playoffs, George’s addition could be a game-changer for Philly. With Morey adding seasoned veterans over summer, they are set to challenge for an NBA titleโif they can get past the Boston Celtics.
What do you think? Can they make it happen?
