The Warriors recently lost two games in a row, squandering big leads against the Spurs and Nets.
Current Performance Concerns:
Despite their strong 12-5 record, the Warriors are showing worrying patterns. In their last ten games, they have barely outscored opponents by 1.2 points on average. This slim margin hints that their current 6-4 record could easily have been worse. Earlier in the season, they were dominating with a 17.3 point average lead over other teams.
Defensively, they’ve slipped from holding teams to just over 102 points per 100 possessions to allowing more than 111 points per game now. Their hustle stats tell a similar story: deflections have dropped from an impressive average of 22.3 to just 17.7, while loose balls recovered fell from 6.6 to only about four per game.
Signs of Disconnection:
These changes suggest that the team isn’t as cohesive anymore on both offense and defense. During Monday’s game against the Nets, where they were outscored significantly in the fourth quarter, it was clear that something was off with them.
The Warriors defense can’t keep anyone in front of them and it’s creating all these good looks for the Nets

A Season of Two Halves:
It seems like this season is split into two parts for the Warriors: an initial strong start followed by recent struggles revealing them as a middle-tier team rather than championship contenders.
Honestly, fans feel like they’re watching two different teams!
The next set of games will be crucial for them to prove critics wrong as they’ll face mostly winning teams in upcoming matchups.
If they continue playing like they have lately during these challenging games ahead… well… let’s just say we might see them drop to .500 pretty quickly!
