The buzz around Zach LaVine’s trade rumors has been nonstop.
Rich Paul, his agent and CEO of Klutch Sports Group, is clearly fed up with the negative talk about LaVine. He spoke to K.C. Johnson from NBC Sports Chicago to defend his client.
“I want to make this clean and clear: This whole idea that Zach has been anything but professional in this situation is false,” Paul said. “This guy has played hurt. He has represented the franchise with class. A lot has taken place during his time with the Bulls, and he’s taken the high road every time,” Paul said by phone. “Does every player get frustrated at times? Yes. But Zach has been the ultimate professional and deserves better. The Bulls have business to do. And we’re letting them handle their business.”
Trade Rumors Continue
Paul’s strong defense comes as LaVine remains a hot topic for trades . For more than a year, there have been whispers about him being on the move, and as the NBA offseason progresses, fewer teams seem able to afford him.
Fans might think it’s only a matter of time before he gets traded.
LaVine’s contract still has three years left, worth nearly $140 million, including a player option for 2026-27. So when will this trade actually happen? That’s anyone’s guess right now.
