Russell Westbrook Bids Farewell to Clippers

Russell Westbrook said goodbye to the Los Angeles Clippers and their fans after his recent trade.

Last Thursday, news broke that Westbrook was traded to the Utah Jazz. However, the Jazz waived him, allowing him to join the Denver Nuggets once he clears waivers.

On Sunday, Westbrook posted on Instagram to reflect on his time with the Clippers.

> โ€œThank you to Mr. Ballmer and the entire Clipper organization for the opportunity. Clipper Nation, thank you! I had a lot of fun with you all, playing in the city I love in front of my family and friends. To all of my teammates, I thank yโ€™all for embracing me and supporting me the past two years,โ€ wrote Westbrook.

Westbrookโ€™s Appreciation:

Westbrook also expressed gratitude towards his loyal fans who have supported him throughout his career. He called them “the most loyal and amazing fans in sports.”

The 16-year NBA veteran brought energy off the bench for the Clippers last season. He averaged 11.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game mainly as a reserve player .

Fans might think this move is exciting because it gives Westbrook another chance to shine.

Westbrook will probably take on a similar role with Denver’s bench squad. Although itโ€™s not official yet, he has been linked to joining the Nuggets for several weeks now.

What do you think about Westbrook’s next chapter?
