On Tuesday, a report came out that Russell Westbrook asked for the number “0” jersey from Christian Braun and got denied.
Westbrook’s Response:
Westbrook quickly took to Instagram to clear things up. He said he never asked for his old jersey number and didn’t plan to. Instead, he wants a new number to start fresh in his career.
โLet’s please leave our young star alone,” Westbrook wrote. “CB and I never discussed him passing along the number 0. I didn’t want, inquire about, or request the number 0 because I chose to mark this new change with a โnewโ number. The excitement of the new season has already begun, and unfortunately I know that means the offload of many false stories. Not today! CB and I are locked in and ready to get things rockin’ in the Mile High city!”
Russell Westbrook broke his silence on the Christian Braun jersey rumors:

We think it’s exciting to see how he’ll fit in with his new team.
Westbrook’s Role on the Nuggets:
Even though some people criticize him, adding Westbrook is smart for the Nuggets. He can back up Jamal Murray, who often gets injured, and boost their bench strength.
