Two more countries have announced their 12-man teams for the Paris Olympics.
Serbia and Greece have revealed who will represent them in the upcoming games. Serbia’s team is led by Nikola Jokic, a three-time NBA MVP, and includes other NBA players like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Vasilije Micic, and Nikola Jovic. Jovicโs participation was uncertain due to an ankle injury in June but he has been cleared to play now.
Other Serbian players include Nikola Milutinov, Ognjen Dobric, Vanja Marinkovic, Marko Guduric, Filip Petrusev, Aleksa Avramovic, Dejan Davidovac, Uros Plavsic. Aleksej Pokusevski did not make the final cut despite finishing last season with the Hornets .
Greece’s Lineup:
Greece also confirmed its roster for the Olympics. Giannis Antetokounmpo will lead the team but his brothers Thanasis and Kostas are out due to injuries. While Giannis is currently the only active NBA player on Greece’s team, others like Nick Calathes and Georgios Papagiannis have played in the league before.
Fans might be excited to see how these teams perform in Paris!
Thomas Walkup signed an NBA contract back in 2016 but never played a regular season game. Other Greek players include Dinos Mitoglou, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Vassilis Charalampopoulos, Nikos Chougkaz, Dimitris Moraitis, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis and Vassilis Toliopoulos.
Serbia will start their Olympic journey against Team USA on Sunday while Greece faces Canada on Saturday.
