Golden State Warriors fans were worried when Steph Curry left a preseason game early.
Game Details:
The Warriors faced off against the Sacramento Kings at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Curry, who started the game, played for 16 minutes during the first half. Unfortunately, he injured his finger late in the second quarter and had to leave the court. Anthony Slater from The Athletic reported that Curry walked to the locker room with trainer Rick Celebrini and did not come back for the rest of the game. DeโAnthony Melton took over his spot in the second half.
Injury Update:
Luckily for fans, it seems like Curry’s injury isn’t serious. Reports suggest he was able to do his usual postgame workout in the weight room while the match continued.
Steph Curry jammed his finger late in the first half and left for the locker room. Didn’t return for the second half, but it doesn’t sound like an issue. He’s back in the weight room currently going through his normal postgame workout routine, per Warriors.

Curry’s Performance:
Before leaving, Curry scored six points and made four assists with a shooting record of 2-of-7 from the field. Since Kevin Durant’s departure in 2019, Golden State has heavily relied on Steph Curryโs performance.
We think it’s smart to keep him safe during preseason games.
Future Considerations:
Given how much Golden State is investing in him over these next two years source, perhaps they should wrap him up like a fragile package until regular season begins!
