The 2024 NBA preseason is underway, offering a sneak peek at the league’s newest talent.
Rising Star: Zaccharie Risacher
Zaccharie Risacher was a surprise pick for the Atlanta Hawks, chosen first overall despite doubts. His Summer League performance wasn’t great, shooting poorly and raising eyebrows. People wondered what Atlanta saw in him.
However, in a recent game against the Pacers, Risacher showed promise. He played with confidence, making three out of four shots from beyond the arc and handling the ball well in pick-and-roll situations. His passing skills were impressive too, proving he’s more than just a shooter.

“I was super excited for the game,” said Risacher after their win over Indiana. “It feels like the start of something great.” If he keeps improving and stays focused on helping his team, he could be key to Atlanta’s future success.
All-Around Talent: Stephon Castle
Stephon Castle might not have eye-popping stats yet with the Spurs, but his all-around skills are hard to ignore. He’s like a toolbox full of surprisesโfast drives to the basket and accurate jump shots (42.9% from deep). Castle also sees the court well, making smart passes that keep defenses guessing.
On defense, he’s been causing trouble for opponents by intercepting passes and keeping up high energy levels that inspire his teammates. Fans love how much effort he puts into every play! We think Castle could become as successful as Jimmy Butler if he continues on this path.
Promising Guard: Rob Dillingham
Rob Dillingham has had ups and downs during his preseason games with Minnesota Timberwolves. He shone against the Lakers with 21 points but struggled against New York’s tough defense later on.
Against Philadelphia 76ers though? Different story! Even when shots weren’t falling for him; instead of forcing things through stubbornness aloneโhe became an excellent playmaker dishing out nine assists while being active defensively too!
Rob Dillingham dished out nine assists to zero turnovers in 23 minutes.
The Timberwolves have set up Dillingham to be in an ideal environment to learn true point guard play from Mike Conley.
Minnesota will rely on Dillingham this season to play a critical bench role.

Dillingham faces challenges ahead as part of such competitive Western Conference teams where mistakes can cost dearlyโbut five years down line? Who knows! Maybe he’ll emerge top among rookies class someday soon enough…
