The red-hot Clippers are heading to Portland looking to extend their winning streak to three games on Thursday night at the Moda Center.
LA’s defense has been absolutely crushing it lately. They’ve held their last two opponents under 100 points, including an impressive showing where they limited Brooklyn to just 67 points on Wednesday.
Kawhi Leonard seems to be finding his groove again. The superstar forward dropped 23 points to lead all scorers in their last game, showing he’s getting back to his dominant self after dealing with injuries earlier this season.
The game tips off at 10:00 p.m. ET and you can catch it on ESPN or NBC Sports.
The Clippers are coming in as 6.5-point favorites on the road, and it’s easy to see why. They haven’t lost since returning to action after the Los Angeles wildfires, picking up solid wins against Miami and Brooklyn.
Things aren’t looking so bright for Portland. They’re already struggling to stay in the playoff conversation, and it’s only January. Their only win in their last five games came against the Pelicans, who are sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference.
The injury bug isn’t helping Portland’s chances either. They’re dealing with several key players being out or questionable:

– Matisse Thybulle (ankle, out)
– Deni Avdija (ankle, day to day)
– Donovan Clingan (ankle, out)
– Jerami Grant (face, out)
The Clippers, meanwhile, are mostly healthy with only P.J. Tucker out for personal reasons.
