Tyrese Maxey Explains 76ers Fans to Paul George

Paul George is starting a new chapter with the Philadelphia 76ers.

He signed a max contract and his new teammate, Tyrese Maxey, had some interesting things to share about the passionate fans in Philly. On an episode of the Podcast P Show by Wave Sports + Entertainment, Maxey gave George a heads-up on what to expect from their enthusiastic supporters.

“Funny thing is, I can’t wait for him to see like, just walking around Philly or being around Philly…fans giving advice and yelling and screaming, like they’re big-time fans. They really believe they know basketball, they know hoop, so it’s amazing, man,” Maxey said.

Fan Passion in Philadelphia:

Maxey couldn’t help but laugh as he described how fans approach him with tips and suggestions. “Like I walk in somewhere, and first of all, they come up to you like they know you…and they just give me their advice,” he said. “Hey, you gotta start shooting your middy more ; you gotta start doing this more; you gotta start being more aggressive.”

“It’s nothing but love,” Maxey added warmly. “I’m gonna tell you; they’re gonna show love. That’s one thing that they’re gonna really do; they’re going to rally behind us I think and it’s going to be great.”

Fans might feel excited hearing these stories because it shows how involved they are with the team.

Maxey’s insights highlight how dedicated 76ers fans are. Despite not winning an NBA title since 1983 or reaching the Finals since 2001, there’s no doubt that this fanbase is eager for success.

With stars like Maxey, Joel Embiid, and now Paul George on board, many believe that Philadelphia could pose a serious challenge to reigning champions Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference this season.

What do you think? Will Philly make it all the way this year?
