Injury Details and Team Challenges:
During the third quarter of the game at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, Maxey limped off the court with hamstring soreness and didn’t return. The team wants to ensure he’s fully healed before coming back since they invested in him with a five-year, $204 million contract extension over summer.
The 76ers have had a rough start this season with just one win out of seven games. Injuries have been a big problem for them. Paul George missed early games due to a knee issue from preseason but finally played against Phoenix Suns on Monday night. Joel Embiid hasn’t played either because of his knee injury and now faces a three-game suspension too source. He’s expected back when they face the New York Knicks next Tuesday.
Fans really hope things get better soon!
Maxey has been scoring an average of 27.6 points per game so far this season while handling extra minutes due to other players’ absences; however, he must now concentrate on healing himself up first.
We all wish him a speedy recovery!
