Zion Williamson is gearing up for a comeback.
The Pelicans’ star recently spoke with Will Guillory from The Athletic about his plans for the new season. Zion said he’s ready to prove himself and is on a mission for “straight vengeance.” He clarified that this isn’t aimed at anyone in particular, but rather a personal goal.
Offseason Workouts:
Guillory’s article highlights Zion’s intense offseason regimen. He’s been working out twice daily, starting early in the morning. Additionally, he’s improved his relationship with the Pelicans, which was rocky before.
Past Challenges:
Injuries and weight issues have plagued Zion’s career so far. Last season was better; he played 70 games and averaged 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Unfortunately, it ended with a hamstring injury during New Orleans’ play-in game.
New Look:
Recent photos show Zion looking much slimmer than before (https://larrybrownsports.com/basketball/photos-skinny-looking-zion-williamson/637760). Reports also say he’s at a healthier weight now (https://larrybrownsports.com/basketball/zion-williamson-current-weight-revealed/637856). Entering his sixth NBA season, Zion seems determined to back up his words with actions.
Fans are excited to see what he can achieve this year!
